Patrick Loa
Patrick Loa is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at 91¸£Àû. His research involves the application of econometric, statistical, and machine learning models to understand travel behaviour and travel demand. Through his research, he aims to gain insights into how shared mobility services and advanced digital technologies can help people meet their mobility needs and access opportunities. He strives to answer research questions that can support the development of policies that contribute to improved mobility, accessibility, and sustainability. His research is collaborative and interdisciplinary in nature, with past projects being completed in collaboration with the City of Toronto, TransLink, and the California Air Resources Board. Patrick was born and raised in Toronto and received his PhD from the University of Toronto in 2023.
