Tourism and Public Policy

How are tourism and hospitality stakeholders affected by public policy? This course critically analyzes tourism as a system of interrelationships between governments, non-profits, communities, and private businesses. Issues and policies affecting tourism's development and operation at the local, national and global levels are examined with a political and advocacy lens, as students participate in case studies, and analyze issues, and the impacts of public policies.
