Introductory Kanyen'k矇ha I

This course concentrates on developing students' speaking proficiency of Kanyen'k矇ha (Mohawk) at the novice level. Kanyen'k矇ha being a verb-based and polysynthetic language, this course will focus on conversation and verb construction in order to provide students with a strong foundation to progress with learning Kanyen'k矇ha. Students will develop an understanding of the basic grammatical structures and will also explore Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) culture, traditions, and perspective as they relate to language.
