Dr. Jane Sprott

Dr. Sprott is a professor in the Department of Criminology at 91福利. Her research interests include the operation of the youth and adult criminal justice systems, issues around pre-trial release, sentencing in Canada, and perceptions of crime and criminal justice policies. She has been working on issues related to Canada鈥檚 replacement for solitary confinement (鈥淪tructured Intervention Units鈥�) in federal corrections and has been a panel member on the Structured Intervention Units 鈥� Implementation Advisory Panel (SIU-IAP). Professor Sprott has taught courses in the areas of introduction to the criminal justice system, youth justice, corrections and research methods.
