In November 2017, professor Kari Maaren had her young adult novel published by Tor Books. follows Freddy and her siblings, Roland and Mel, and their new 鈥� strange 鈥� neighbours. It has time travel, aliens and lots of adventure 鈥� all the good stuff.
Recently, the book became a finalist for the , in The Andre Norton Award for Outstanding Young Adult Science Fiction or Fantasy category! The ceremony is on May 18th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during the SFWA (Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America) Nebula Conference. Having been presented since 1966, the awards recognize the best science fiction and fantasy books in the United States (and Canada).
