Patricia Martin is a full professor of Geography at the Universit茅 de Montr茅al. A broadly trained political geographer, her research interests include gender, globalization and politics in Mexico. Her recent research focuses on the intersecting forms of violence that shape social worlds in Mexico. As part of this broad research agenda, she has examined the geopolitics of mobility within North America as it relates to political refugees and asylum seekers in Canada who are from Mexico and other countries in Latin America. She is the co-editor, with Sara Mari虂a Lara Flores and Jorge Pantaleo虂n, of the 2019 volume entitled .
