Ryerson ranked first for research income growth among comprehensive universities in Research Infosource Top 50

Ryerson University has been among comprehensive universities in Research Infosource Inc.s annual list of the 50 top research universities in Canada. The universitys research income increased 63.5 per cent during the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Additionally, Ryerson was , with this figure increasing by 55 per cent over the previous fiscal year.

This outstanding news is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to research excellence and the remarkable work of our faculty and support staff, said Steven N. Liss, Ryersons vice-president, research and innovation. Through Ryersons exceptional funding accomplishments, we have established a solid foundation for future growth that will enable our researchers to continue tackling the most critical challenges affecting Canadians and citizens around the world.

Overall, in the Canadas Top 50 Research Universities 2020 rankings. Ryerson received a total of $79.57 million in research income in the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
