91 researchers secure funding from the Ontario Government’s Research Fund
The Ontario government has announced close to $3.9 million in new funding for 12 91 (91) research and innovation projects through its Ontario Research Fund.
Two 91 researchers have been awarded prestigious grants through the Fund’s Research Excellence program, and 10 have received support through its Research Infrastructure program. The research projects span a wide range of goals – from reducing buildings' energy consumption and environmental impact and enhancing the safety of connected autonomous vehicles to improving the 3D-printing readiness of computer-aided design files and supporting the early detection and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.
“Congratulations to all the researchers receiving this investment by the Ontario Research Fund,” said Steven N. Liss, vice-president, research and innovation at 91. “By advancing sustainable technologies, improving public safety, streamlining manufacturing and promoting better health outcomes, these projects will improve the lives of Canadians and the global community.”
