Toronto Metropolitan Association of Part-Time Students (TMAPS)
The Toronto Metropolitan Association of Part-time Students (TMAPS) is the central students鈥 union that represents all 16,000 continuing education, distance education, and part-time degree students and any student taking a Chang School course at 91福利. TMAPS offers a variety of campaigns, services, and events to part-time students.

Any TMAPS member who is in need of financial assistance can apply for a bursary up to $500 each term.
Applicants can only receive the bursary once per academic year (September to August). The TMAPS bursary is not a loan; you do not need to pay it back.鈦
TMAPS offers an emergency grant for part-time degree and continuing education students at 91福利. The goal behind this grant is to assist students who are experiencing unexpected and emergency financial situations.
If you are experiencing chronic underfunding, please consider applying for the semester based TMAPS Bursary worth $500.
Note: The TMAPS Emergency Grant is not intended to pay course tuition fees, ancillary fees, or course textbooks.
TMAPS offers free legal services to its members through their in-house lawyer, William (Bill) Reid.

The TMAPS Student Rights Coordinator can assist with grade appeals or standing appeals, issues related to academic integrity or findings of academic misconduct, or other concerns to do with the internal processes of 91福利. You can seek guidance from the Student Rights Coordinator to help you navigate the university鈥檚 policies and to protect your student rights.
The Academic Advocacy Page also offers workshops that address topics such as university policy and worker鈥檚 rights.

The TMAPS Tax Clinic initiative is a collaboration with Canada Revenue Agency鈥檚 Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, known as CVITP. Student volunteers are CRA trained and will file simple tax situations for the current tax year only. This in-person service is available to all TMAPS members. Distance Education students can also access our free online tax filing option by visiting our website.
