1. Apply to graduate. Learn more about this process through Curriculum Advising.
2. Verify your official name on . This is the name that will appear on your award document. Please refer to the significant dates calendar for upcoming deadlines to make an official request.
3. Find your convocation ceremony date and time on the convocation schedule. Use the search feature to find your specific program. This is especially important if your Faculty is hosting more than one ceremony, as you will only be permitted to attend the ceremony for your degree program.
4. Register to attend your ceremony. Eligible students will receive an official notice through Curriculum Advising.
5. Get ready for your ceremony by reviewing the what to expect on convocation day page. 
6. Review the regalia guidelines for what you can and can't wear during your convocation.
7. Visit the . 

If you are not attending convocation, you may graduate in absentia. 

If you do not attend your convocation ceremony your award document will be available after November 1 (for Fall Convocation) and after July 1 (for Spring Convocation). For information about obtaining your award document, please review the 鈥淕raduating in Absentia or Receiving Your Parchment at a Later Date鈥� section of the Curriculum Advising webpage.
