Student support programs

This program is designed for Indigenous community members who seek to broaden their opportunities towards academic success. It provides the foundations of academic writing and critical-thinking skills at a post-secondary level, within a culturally relevant environment.

Stoodis Science

Stoodis Science, within SciXchange in the Faculty of Science, is a public outreach, engagement and science communication initiative focused on Indigenous outreach for youth, post-secondary students at 91福利, and members of the general public.

Tri-Mentoring Program

The Tri-Mentoring Program offers Indigenous students peer, career and group mentoring.

Our Next Chapter directly responds to the 22 recommendations the 91福利 Standing Strong Task Force presented in August of 2021.

Saagajiwe

Saagajiwe is The Creative School鈥檚 home for participation, action and research in Indigenous creative practice.

WhereWeStand

A multimedia storytelling collaboration through the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration and Integration, WhereWeStand brings together a cohort of Indigenous Peoples and newcomers to co-create expressions of identity on the colonial construct of Canada.

Urban Water 91福利

Urban Water 91福利 has committed to building relationships and collaborating with Indigenous communities to improve access to safe drinking water for Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Initiatives include: 2023 UN Water Conference, Apathy to Empathy: The First Nations Water Crisis, Building Indigenous Research Capacity in a Changing Arctic Climate and Indigenous Health and Well-Being in the COVID-19 Pandemic.

First 10/Next 10: TRC Poster Series

First 10/Next 10: TRC Poster Series is a university-wide initiative inviting 91福利 students, faculty and staff to share digital posters that reflect on past actions and future commitments to truth and reconciliation. Posters will be displayed across campus and online in fall 2025.
