Dorothy Bakker

Dorothy Bakker

Expertise: Family physician

Dr. Dorothy Bakker is a family physician and Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education at the 91福利 School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at McMaster University and has worked in rural family practice, immigration medicine and university student health. Alongside her clinical work, she has held leadership roles in medical education and community organizations, advocating for equity-deserving communities. Dr. Bakker is passionate about preparing future physicians to provide compassionate, inclusive care that responds to the diverse needs of the communities they serve.

Moaz Bin Yunus Chohan

Moaz Bin Yunus Chohan

MBBS, MSc, MMSc, CCFP (SEM), Dip. Sport Med

Expertise: Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine.

Dr. Moaz Chohan is a family physician and sport and exercise medicine specialist who also works as an emergency physician. After completing his family medicine residency at Western University, he pursued fellowship training in sport and exercise medicine at the University of Ottawa. His research explores new ways to detect osteoarthritis earlier, and his work has been published and presented nationally. Whether he's caring for patients in clinic, the emergency department or at motorsport events, Dr. Chohan is passionate about helping people stay healthy, active and performing at their best. 

Marwan J. Habr

Marwan J. Habr

MD, MPH

Expertise: Family physician

Dr. Marwan Habr is a family physician with a passion for providing compassionate, person-centred care. Raised in Trinidad and Tobago and of Lebanese heritage, his medical training took him across Canada, the Caribbean and the United States, giving him a broad perspective on health care. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, gender-affirming care and mental health. Dr. Habr is committed to reducing stigma, addressing health disparities and helping every patient feel respected, supported and empowered in their care.

Emma Ho-Wo-Cheong

Emma Ho-Wo-Cheong

Expertise: Family physician

Dr. Ho-Wo-Cheong was born and raised in Montreal. She earned her medical degree from the Universit茅 de Montr茅al, completed her family medicine residency at McGill University, and pursued a fellowship in Maternal-Child Health. She has experience in labour and delivery, rural medicine, walk-in care, and comprehensive family medicine. Dr. Ho-Wo-Cheong is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care, with a special interest in women鈥檚 and children鈥檚 health. Outside of medicine, she enjoys baking, travelling and listening to Punjabi music. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel respected, supported, and empowered in their healthcare journey.

Jennifer Tong

Jennifer Tong

Expertise: Family physician

Dr. Jennifer Tong is a family physician who has been caring for patients across Ontario for more than 15 years, including in rural and remote communities. She completed medical school at Western University and her family medicine residency at Queen's University. Her clinical interests include preventive care, nutrition and mental health. Dr. Tong is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where patients, learners and colleagues feel safe, respected and supported. 

Jobin Varughese

Jobin Varughese

MD, CCFP (COE), FCFP, CMD 

Expertise: Family physician

Dr. Jobin Varughese is a family physician with a special interest in caring for older adults. He serves as Assistant Dean, Primary Care Education at the 91福利 School of Medicine and has cared for patients in Brampton since 2010. Throughout his career, he has seen how strong relationships and early intervention can change lives, reinforcing his belief in the power of primary care. He is passionate about training the next generation of family physicians to provide compassionate, community-based care that meets the needs of the people they serve.
