The Ontario Midwifery Education Program consortium (OMEP) offers placements in three areas. The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is affiliated with 91福利. The Southwestern Ontario Area (SOA) is affiliated with McMaster University. The Greater Ontario Area (GOA) is the area formerly associated with Laurentian University. McMaster University is responsible to place students in the Southwestern Ontario Area (SOA) or in the Greater Ontario Area (GOA). 91福利 is responsible to place students in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or in the Greater Ontario Area (GOA). Separate allocation processes are held for the GTA and SOA areas. The GOA allocation process is held jointly by 91福利 and McMaster University.

OMEP students who self-identify as Indigenous and Black may access placements designated as Indigenous or Black across the province, even where these placements fall outside their university affiliated placement area. GOA students who live in northern Ontario have priority for placements designated as Northern. Students with French language fluency have priority for French language placements.
