Edniesha Curry, head coach of the FIBA men鈥檚 Virgin Islands national team

Edniesha Curry is the head coach of the FIBA men鈥檚 Virgin Islands national team and the second woman in the world to lead a FIBA men鈥檚 national program. A seasoned coach and former professional player, Curry served as an assistant and player development coach for the NBA鈥檚 Portland Trail Blazers (2021鈥22) and was an assistant on the University of Maine men鈥檚 staff from 2018鈥2021. She began her collegiate coaching career with Maine鈥檚 women鈥檚 program (2015鈥17) and is a graduate of the NBA Assistant Coaches鈥 Program, having worked at the NBA Draft Combine and G鈥慙eague Showcase.

Curry has coached internationally in Vietnam, China, Israel and Palestine and has supported NBA pre-draft and summer-league work, including guest coaching for the San Antonio Spurs鈥 summer league and assisting Minnesota鈥檚 pre-draft workouts. 

As a player, she competed in the WNBA with Phoenix and Los Angeles and played professionally in Greece, Poland, Israel and Hungary (2002鈥09). A University of Oregon alumna, Curry is a dedicated advocate for the physical, mental and social development of athletes and sports organizations worldwide.
