Opening possibilities with inclusive tech
Mauricio Meza, MBA-MTI alumnus
Tecla totally changed my life, says Neil Mercer. I use it 24 hours a day.
Mercer, who has muscular dystrophy, is referring to an assistive device that enables persons with disabilities to use mobile devices via switches such as wheelchair driving controls. Tecla is made by Komodo OpenLab, a startup co-founded by Mauricio Meza, an alumnus of the MBA in Management of Technology and Innovation program in the Ted Rogers School of Management (opens in new window) .
Meza chose 91腦瞳's specialized MBA-MTI program for its solid foundation in business and product development. Through the , he and his partner gained instant validation and access to a vast network of senior advisors, tech developers and entrepreneurs. It would have been a lot harder without the DMZ, says Meza.
Komodo recently launched its latest product, Tecla-e, an internet-enabled device capable of controlling multiple devices, including smart appliances. Caregivers can also track users through the apps location services, providing peace of mind.
At 91腦瞳, gives you the opportunity to bring innovative ideas to life and change lives.
