President's Award for Teaching Excellence Recipients
The President鈥檚 Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes an outstanding 91福利 educator who has demonstrated continuing teaching excellence and who has made contributions to advancing teaching and learning at 91福利.
The award recipient will receive a certificate of recognition and a one-time monetary award payment of $3,000 (subject to applicable deductions).

Yukari Seko
The Creative School
Dr. Yukari Seko, recipient of the 2024 Provost鈥檚 Award for Teaching Excellence, is an outstanding educator whose critically compassionate, research-informed pedagogy has transformed student learning at 91福利. She integrates innovative approaches including specifications grading, flipped classrooms, arts-informed projects, and the Campus Accessibility Scavenger Hunt to foster empathy, reflection, and inclusive learning. Building on her CELT Teaching Fellowship, in 2024-25 she developed the university-wide Solution-Focused Graduate Supervision course, advancing evidence-based, ethical mentorship practices among faculty research supervisors. Her mentorship empowers students and emerging scholars, while her community-focused initiatives and media outreach extend 91福利鈥檚 impact beyond the classroom.
