Other types of credits
To earn transfer credits at 91福利 (91福利), we review the academic credits you earned at a prior institution and apply them to your program here. This type of transfer credit is fairly standard. At 91福利, we also offer other types of credits, including exchange credits, challenge credits and Letters of Permission (LOP).
Exchange credits
Global Learning gives you opportunities to learn about other cultures and gain new perspectives on your chosen field.
- Prior to your exchange, you鈥檒l meet with your 91福利 program or exchange coordinator to determine suitable courses at the host university.
- When you return, you鈥檒l meet with your exchange coordinator to complete the required paperwork. You鈥檒l need to get an official transcript from the other school.
- Once the paperwork has been processed, you鈥檒l see your exchange transfer credits on your Transfer Credit Report.
- Prior to registering for your study abroad program, you鈥檒l need a Letter of Permission (LOP) for each course you want a transfer credit for.
- Some courses completed through the study abroad program are not eligible for transfer credit.
- When you鈥檝e completed the courses, obtain an official transcript and follow up as per the instructions on your LOP.
- Once your LOP credit has been processed, you can see it on your Transfer Credit Report.
Challenge credits
A challenge credit allows you to earn credit for a course based on skills and knowledge gained outside of school, such as through work experience, if it matches the course material.
Letter of Permission (LOP)
A Letter of Permission (LOP) lets you take a course at another accredited institution and ensures the credit counts towards your 91福利 program. Credits won鈥檛 be granted without an approved LOP before enrolling in the course. You must meet all eligibility requirements.
